Complete Filter Service

Your filter is what keeps your water clear. When it is not working right — high pressure, cloudy water despite good chemistry, or poor flow — your entire pool suffers. We service all three filter types.

Sand Filters

Sand media replacement every 5 to 7 years, lateral inspection and replacement, multiport valve repair, and proper backwashing technique guidance.

Cartridge Filters

Cartridge inspection, deep cleaning, and replacement. We stock cartridges for all major brands. Typical replacement cycle: 1 to 3 years depending on usage and pool environment.

DE (Diatomaceous Earth) Filters

Grid inspection and replacement, DE recharging, manifold repair, and backwash valve service. DE filters provide the finest filtration but require more maintenance — we make it easy.

Filter Pressure Rule: Clean or service your filter when pressure rises 8 to 10 PSI above the clean starting pressure. If you do not know your clean starting pressure, write it on the filter tank with a permanent marker after your next cleaning.

Inspect & Pressure Check

Baseline pressure, flow, and a look inside. The gauge tells a story most owners never get to read.

Clean or Replace Media

Backwash-resistant sand gets swapped, cartridges deep-cleaned or replaced, DE grids inspected and recoated.

Rebuild the Small Stuff

Spider gaskets, o-rings, sight glasses, air relief — the $10 parts that cause $100 headaches.

Flow Test

Reassembled, pressurized, and verified: clear return flow and a gauge reading we write down for next time.

Good to Know

Every 5 to 7 seasons for most Wisconsin pools. If your water stays dull no matter what you add, or backwashing barely drops the pressure, the sand is probably spent.

When the pressure gauge reads 8-10 psi above your clean baseline. Backwashing too often actually hurts — slightly dirty sand filters better than fresh-rinsed sand.

That is the classic sign of a filtration problem, not a chemistry problem — channeled sand, a torn cartridge, or a bypassing valve. Bring us a sample and a photo of your pad and we will narrow it down fast.
